Helen Drexler, President & Chief Executive Officer

Helen Drexler Helen Drexler is president and CEO of Delta Dental of Colorado. With more than 30 years of progressive management experience, Ms. Drexler is deeply versed in all aspects of the health insurance industry. She supported operations, strategic planning, organizational development, and marketing during two national acquisitions and led a national system migration during Y2K. In addition, she has a vast experience in provider contracting, having led the development of several managed care networks in the early 1990s. In 2012-16, she managed a national account service team that saw record growth and retention under her leadership. Ms. Drexler is a community leader who believes businesses see the greatest success when they help to strengthen the communities they serve. She served as chair of the board of directors of Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado and recently served on the Women's Leadership Council for United Way of Greater Atlanta. Ms. Drexler was also a member of the Atlanta Heart Walk Cabinet for the American Heart Association.

Greg Vochis, CPA, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Greg Vochis Greg Vochis is Delta Dental of Colorado’s chief financial officer and focuses on company operations, decision-making, enterprise risk management, and strategic planning. In this role, Mr. Vochis also provides financial executive leadership for the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation and SpringRock Dental, a nonprofit sponsored by Delta Dental of Colorado. He previously served as Delta Dental’s controller and is a certified public accountant. Before joining Delta Dental, he was a manager at Ernst & Young focusing primarily on the health care industry. Mr. Vochis earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Loyola College in Maryland. He is involved with several community organizations including Art Students League of Denver.

Kathy Jacoby, Vice President of Marketing & Member Experience

Kathy Jacoby Kathy Jacoby is the vice president of marketing and member experience for Delta Dental of Colorado responsible for strategic and operational support for marketing as well as internal and external communications, media relations, customer service, social media, and company-wide customer experience programs. Kathy has more than 30 years of marketing experience in employee benefits. Prior to joining Delta Dental in 2012, Kathy was an assistant vice president for 12 years at MetLife where she created and implemented the thought-leadership strategy for their employee benefits sales and marketing organizations. In addition, Kathy held executive positions for Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans and Great-West Life. Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of South Florida and an MBA with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Colorado Denver.

Mark Thompson, Vice President of Sales & Broker/Group Experience

Mark Thompson Mark Thompson serves as vice president of sales and broker/group experience at Delta Dental of Colorado. In addition to leading the sales team, Mark is responsible for overall sales, client retention, and strategic partnerships in the dental market. Prior to Delta Dental, Mark spent 14 years with United Healthcare. He served in various capacities, including his most recent position as director of sales for Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. He serves on the board for the Dental LifeLine Network and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Denver-metro Association of Health Underwriters. Mark graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver, summa cum laude, and holds a master of business administration degree from Colorado Christian University. He supplements his formal education by volunteering in his community.

Dave Gerbus, JD, Vice President of Administration & General Counsel

Dave Gerbus Dave Gerbus is Delta Dental of Colorado’s Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. He is responsible for directing DDCO’s Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, Social Media, Group Administration, and EDI functions. Mr. Gerbus’ background includes both private practice and in-house counsel experience. Prior to joining DDCO, Mr. Gerbus worked as a Trial Lawyer representing Management and then at United Launch Alliance as its Assistant General Counsel. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Xavier University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. He is currently a member of the Executive Board to Boy Scouts of America.

Dr. Cheryl Lerner, Vice President of Network and Clinical Management

Dr. Cheryl Lerner Dr. Cheryl Lerner is Delta Dental of Colorado's vice president of network and clinical management. Drawing on her 30-year experience in clinical dentistry and dental insurance administration, Dr. Lerner leads the company's provider network initiatives and supports efforts to educate members about the importance of oral health. Following a 13-year career practicing general dentistry, Dr. Lerner went on to serve as vice president of professional network relations for UnitedHealthcare Dental, directing service initiatives related to the company's national provider network. She also served as dental director for Delta Dental of Pennsylvania for seven years. Most recently, she helped lead a private dentist network, Maverest Dental Network. Dr. Lerner has a bachelor of arts degree in biology and a doctor of medicine in dentistry degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed one year of general practice residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Allison Cusick, Executive Director, Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation

Allison Cusick Allison Cusick is the executive director of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation. Her background includes 18 years of nonprofit and oral health leadership experience. Before joining the foundation, she worked at Washington Dental Service Foundation and also has held a variety of health positions in the early learning field. She has a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in health promotion and education from Oregon State University. Allison serves on the board of directors for Bright By Three Colorado.
