ALEX P. ACEVEDO, DDS: Dr. Acevedo practices general dentistry in Thornton. He graduated from University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1982 and served his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic in 1983 receiving his degree in hospital dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Dental Group Practices.
LISA M. AUGUSTINE, DDS: Dr. Augustine graduated from UCLA in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Economics. She then returned home to earn her D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado. After graduating in 1996, she completed a one-year A.E.G.D. residency at the University of North Carolina. Since 1997, she has practiced general dentistry in Aurora with her partner and father, Dr. Ron Yaros, and has been a member of the ADA, CDA, MDDS, and AAID. She completed a preceptorship in dental implantology at the University of Texas, San Antonio in 1999. Additionally, Dr. Augustine was a delegate to the CDA House of Delegates in 2000 and 2002.
GEORGE F. BEILBY, DDS:Dr. Beilby, a 1983 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is in private practice in Highlands Ranch. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metropolitan District Dental Society.
CYNTHIA A. EVANS:
Ms. Evans is an executive professor of management and Director of the Monfort Executive Professor Program at the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in economics from UNC and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Denver. She was most recently Xcel Energy's state vice president for Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona and is currently on the board of Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain, Inc.
MICHAEL G. HALE, DDS:
Dr. Hale is a practicing general dentist with an office in Parker, Colorado. He began practicing in Colorado after obtaining his DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1979. He has participated in numerous dental insurance provider relations and quality assurance committees for the past 25 years. Dr. Hale currently serves as Committee Chair of Delta’s Professional Services Committee and is a member of the Governance Committee.
BRIAN P. HENDRICKSON, DMD:
Dr. Hendrickson practices general dentistry in Wheat Ridge, and has practiced in Colorado since graduating from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1986. He also earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1982, with minors in Chemistry, Business Administration, and Biology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and the National Association of Corporate Directors. He has earned the Certificate of Director Education from the Corporate Directors Institute. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, the Advisory Board of the Frontier Center at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and is a former director of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation. Dr. Hendrickson serves as Chair of the Delta Dental of Colorado Board of Trustees.
DENISE K. KASSEBAUM, DDS:
Dr. Kassebaum currently serves as the Dean of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. She received her dental degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and her Masters degree in oral radiology and oral medicine from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and a fellow of the American and International College of Dentists. Dr. Kassebaum completed a fellowship in the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM). She has held leadership roles in the American Dental Education Association and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society.
C. DAVID KIKUMOTO:Mr. Kikumoto is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Denver Management Advisors, Inc., the executive compensation and healthcare consulting firm in the Rocky Mountain Region. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Utah, completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Chicago, and the National Association of Corporate Directors Training in Denver, Colorado. He has served as the President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Colorado, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Rocky Mountain Healthcare and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico, and served as Executive Vice President of Regence Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Utah. Mr. Kikumoto currently serves as chair of Delta’s Compensation Committee and serves on Delta’s Professional Services Committee.
TERRY R. KOELE:Mr. Koele earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business, with a career concentration in Accounting, from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa, in 1982. After moving to Denver, he worked for 13 years in a Denver real estate management company where he progressed within the Accounting and Finance Departments to the position of Controller and finally to Vice President of Finance. Electing to stay in Colorado when his company was relocated to Chicago in 1995, Mr. Koele entered the financial services arena as a financial consultant with AXA Advisors, LLC.
JOHN R. MATHEWSON:Mr. Mathewson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He served in the Armed Forces in Korea in 1969-1970. John is a Director for the United Food and Commercial Worker's Union, Local number 7, where he has been employed since 1978. He currently serves as a Trustee on the Rocky Mountain UFCW Unions and Employers Health and Welfare Fund. John was recently elected as First Vice President to UFCW Local Seven's Executive Board. John has two daughters, Amy and Jill.
B. LARAE ORULLIAN:Ms. Orullian is Vice Chair of Frontier Airlines and most recently served as President of Guaranty Corporation and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Guaranty Bank and Trust Company, and Chair of the Guaranty Corporation Audit Committee. Ms. Orullian led the formation of Women’s Bank of Denver and served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chair of the Board of Directors from 1977 to 1995. She is a graduate of the ABA American Institute of Banking and the Ohio State University Graduate School of Banking, majoring in real estate finance and mortgage lending. She was also awarded a degree of Doctor, Humane Letters, from Whittier College. Ms. Orullian currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Holladay Bank and Trust Company in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Lange Golf Company in Lakewood, Colorado. She is an active volunteer serving on the Board of Directors for Colorado Public Television - Channel 12, Past Chair and National President of Girl Scouts of the USA, First Vice Chair of the Board and Chair for the Finance Committee for World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, London, England, Colorado Supreme Court Discipline Hearing Board, member of International Women’s Forum, and member of Committee of 200.
GAIL S. SCHOETTLER:
Ambassador Schoettler received her Bachelors in Economics from Stanford University and her Masters and Ph.D. in History from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Board for Fischer Imaging Corporation, Board Director for AspenBio, Inc., Board Director for Massergy Communications, and Board Director forA4S Security, Inc. She also has served as State Treasurer and Lt. Governor of Colorado. She is a speaker and writer on Globalization, Successful Political Strategies for Corporations, Corporate Governance and Leadership. Her current civic activities include serving as a Trustee for the Gunnison Ranchland Conversation Legacy, Colorado Conservation Trustee, Center for Women’s Health Research, and ProgressNow.
OLIVIA M. THOMPSON: Ms. Thompson most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Excellence for Molson-Coors. Her experience includes financial and general operating aspects of business operations with expertise in strategic planning, business process improvement, and governance. She holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology, a M.S. in Public Administration, and a M.B.A. in Accounting/Finance. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for 9 News Health Fair and is a member of the Financial Executive Institute and Executive Leadership Council.
CHERYL A. WENZINGER: Ms. Wenzinger is a retired Deloitte & Touche audit partner. Her auditing career was focused in Health care, insurance and real estate. She currently serves on the board of directors and chairs the audit committees of Diversa Corporation, a publicly held bioscience company. She also served on the board and chaired the audit committee of Vicuron Pharmaceuticals until its sale to Pfizer in October 2005. She is a board member of the University of Northern Colorado Foundation and she also serves on the Deloitte & Touche retired partners board. Ms. Wenzinger was the 1999-2000 president of the 8,300-member Colorado Society of CPAs and a member of the AICPA Council from 1998-2002.
